Episode 5 – From the daily life of the 2nd Infantry Division
The famous 2nd Infantry Division "Indianhead", formed in 1917, significantly contributed to the liberation of Pilsen and southwestern Bohemia. In an attractive location in the Bolevecká village square of the U Matoušů farm, the guide gives us a tour through the daily life of this unit, we look at the staff, inspect the equipment and armaments of American soldiers, get acquainted with the work of American nurses in Czechoslovakia.

Tommy and Yankee Pilsen living history club
Tommy & Yankee living history concerns with military history during the Second World War with the main focus on Western Allied troops. It tries to show the life and conditions of Allied soldiers as close as possible to the public during one of the fiercest wars that humanity has ever encountered. The members of the club try in all respects to faithfully portray allied troops in a given period of war using the so-called "living history".
612th Tank Destroyer Battalion Pilsen living history club
As part of its activities 612th Tank Destroyer Battalion Pilsen living history club is interested in the military history of the US Army during World War II, more precisely in the 612nd Battalion of Tank Destroyers participating in and organizing events having "World War II" themes.
Army Nurse Corps
The Army Nurse Corps in WWII is a reenacting group consisting of young women, who share an interest in the history and culture of the United States of the 1940s and World War II. The main topic of interest are American Army nurses.
U Matoušů farm in Pilsen – Bolevec
Miraculously, a piece of village development has been preserved in the middle of a Pilsen block of flats housing estate. U Matoušů farmhouse dominates the Bolevecká village square and offers an insight into how the peasants lived in the vicinity of Pilsen, how they experienced their usual daily activities and, last but not least, it forms a quiet oasis in a stormy city.
